This movie was so bad that, as a result, I am now permanently dead inside forever. Last season, we were given the first anime adaptation of the the once popular Ao Oni game, which was essentially a sub-par comedy that was fine for what it was. Some jokes were kind of funny, but overall it felt really weak and lacking in substance.

However, that show looks like a fucking masterpiece when compared to this CG piece of shit. It seems that the studio wanted to create a more serious, horror-esque film this time around with Ao Oni but the outcome is more pathetic and laughable if anything else, resulting in a film with no likeable characters, a boring mystery and an awful aesthetic. The film is clearly trying to go for horror but the presentation is so bad, it completely destroys all of the tension and horror the film tries to buld upon. Everything is made out of really bad CGI, resulting in all of the characters looking like plastic, and when they're in motion, it's even more laughably bad since they move with the same amount of posture as a man with no legs. Yandere Simulator, which is being produced by one guy and is still in its production phase, looks ten times better than this miserable piece of dog piss. The character designs are abysmal, lacking in variety and originality and we haven't even gotten to the worst part yet!

The monster is fucking terrible! My God, it looks so fucking bad! The Ao Oni monster has got to be some of the worst cases of CGI I have ever seen making this so called 'horror' even more comedic than it was once before. He has got this insanely large head and strange smile, which, sure is creepy, but when he is moving it's literally the funniest shit ever. The characters and story are both as equally generic and boring as one another. Half of the film consists of people talking about crap, and the entire mystery surrounding the death of the Ao Oni creator (yes, this narrative uses meta fictional writing) was entirely dull and weak. There is not enough time for setting up the characters nor developing them in the slightest!
